Introduction. Replacing old resource-intensive equipment with new and modern counterparts, that are more eco-efficient, is simply not enough.

The deforestation problem

We have to create a new norm and paradigm within business- and market communication. Replacing paper based coupons with mobile coupons reduce the requirement for paper-based communication and at the same time utilize a popular medium with higher response and interaction rates than other more traditional communication forms.

This GreenTicket document partly has the purpose of bringing attention to the current rate of deforestation and its associated effects. But the main purpose is to create awareness of how mobile couponing can be used to successfully contribute to social responsibility in terms of an environmental friendly business solution, while providing the benefit of a popular and effective communications medium. In other words, how we, with a medium already available, can revolutionize the way we operate and communicate.

Towards Green Solutions

A web based and low energy intensive SAAS system such as ScreenTicket can be used via an Application Programming Interface (API) that will consume the least system resources, thereby assisting the organization to achieve its environmental goals.

Also methods of redeeming the coupons without use of additional hardware, such as ScreenTicket’s On Device Verification® Solution, will decrease the need for scanners and other equipment that will eventually become toxic waste.

Playing an active role in fight against deforestation and pollution is possible while at the same time implementing new and more efficient ways of communication and document handling. That is why we say that ScreenTicket is GreenTicket.
